Small Business BINGO launched

To help promote local businesses, everyone is invited to play Perry County Small Business BINGO! To play get a BINGO card by going to either the Chamber’s Facebook page, their website www.perrycountyohiochamber.com or stop by the office. Visit the five businesses in a row (any direction), spend at least $20, send us copies of your receipts and your signed BINGO card and you will be entered in a drawing for one of two $50 gift cards for the local business of your choice! Deadline to turn in your September card is Oct. 5th. This applies to the month of September. Plans are to offer a new BINGO card for upcoming months.

2020 Raffle Basket

Drawing for the two Chamber raffle baskets (each valued at over $800) will take place on Friday, Oct. 16th. Tickets are still available from most Board members or at the Chamber Office. Tickets are $5 and only 400 are being sold!

Proceeds from the Chamber’s raffle baskets allow us to award four $500 scholarships; one to a graduating senior at each high school.

14th Annual “Kat” Dodson Foundation

Perry County cancer patients can’t wait, so despite the limitations from COVID-19, the large in-person event will not be held but the opportunity to support the cause is still there!

With the emphasis on fund raising for current Perry County cancer patients, many ways to support and/or donate are available. Weekly 50/50 drawings, large raffle prizes, a Poker Run on Sept. 19th, dropping off donations at Dodson’s on Broadway or mailing a check are some!

The Kat Foundation has raised $450,443 in 13 years, all staying in Perry County. You can help make the 14th a huge success!

Zanesville & Western Scenic Train

There are lots of opportunities yet this year to enjoy the beautiful countryside of Perry County on the rails. Every Saturday and Sunday, noon-4 p.m .through October the train leaves on the hour giving riders the opportunity to “Ride the Wind.”

SBA Economic Disaster Loans available

The U.S. Small Business Administration has announced that working capital disaster loans are available to small businesses, small agricultural cooperatives, and private non-profit organizations in 10 counties in SE Ohio including Perry County.

Disaster loan information and application forms can be obtained by going to DisaasterLoan.sba.gov or calling the SBA’s Customer Service Center at 800-659-2955 no later than April 28, 2021.

Evening Custom Welding Training Offered
