We're going to Disney — through music

NEW LEXINGTON — The Perry County Calvary Arts Center kicked off its summer arts workshops with musical theatre.

Crooksville High School drama director Meagan Mason and helper Jolee Caton presented “Disney: The Movies the Music” to parents and friends on Friday, June 7th as the climax to their musical theatre workshop.

Students who participated included Lydia Rupe, Evie Swick, Jameson Swick, Riley Spring, Cadin Dalrymple, and Sam Rupe. The show included songs and dances from several Disney movies.

This week Sophie Marolt is teaching Dance Mania. There are still openings for the third week (June 17-21) which is keyboarding for grades 3-8. The workshop still has scholarships and is free. Interested students can sign-up on the first day of class. The class runs 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. with a free lunch. The CAC is located at 447 S. Main St., New Lexington.
