NEW LEXINGTON — Decorating, shopping, writing Christmas cards, and more shopping got you down? Then you need an evening to relax and just reconnect with the joy and wonder of Christmas.

New Lexington First United Methodist Church invites all community members to come and enjoy its third annual “Sounds of the Season Concert” on Sunday, Dec. 8 at 6:30 p.m. in the sanctuary.

All the Christmas music you know and love will be performed that evening by the New Lexington High School jazz band, Bells Jubilee (FUMC bell choir), the Perry County Senior Center’s Pantry Players, piano and organ selections and solos from the church and community.

Music will include some modern and traditional Christmas songs. Additionally, plan on singing a few Christmas carols before the evening concludes.

To help the local food pantry, please bring canned goods or paper items. This free admission program should last an hour and will be followed by cookies and other refreshments.
