THORNVILLE — The Thornville AMVETS Ladies Auxiliary is proud to partner with the American Red Cross and be a part of what they do for the community and country. The enormity of what the Red Cross accomplishes every day is astounding and this is one of the reasons the Auxiliary chose them as one of the core community outreach partners.
The Red Cross must collect 14,000 units of blood each day. Eighty percent of blood donations are given at blood drives hosted by sponsoring organizations like the AMVETS Ladies Auxiliary.
The Auxiliary is proud to hold its next blood drive on Sunday, Dec. 2, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Thornville AMVETS Post 51 located at 9293 Thorn Township Road 79, Thornville.
There are many ways someone can help, but most importantly the Auxiliary would like for people to donate. To schedule an appointment to donate contact Debbie Pittock at 740-975-8907, or email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Some time may be saved by visiting Redcrossblood.org/Rapidpass to complete a pre-donation reading and health history questions on the day of your appointment.
