Grant awarded Apr 8, 2020 Apr 8, 2020 0 Facebook Twitter WhatsApp SMS Email Print Save In light of the Covid-19 virus affecting Perry County and our day-to-day lives, the Supreme Court of Ohio has allotted grant money to the local courts to purchase technology equipment to assist the courts in handling cases in the mist of the pandemic. Judge Cooperrider and Court Administrator Martin Brown of the Probate and Juvenile Court immediately applied for the grant money and was awarded funds. The grant funds awarded to the Perry County Probate and Juvenile Court for video equipment such as a camera, digital equipment and a micpod to be hooked to a smartboard in the courtroom. All of this equipment will allow Judge Cooperrider to perform video hearings whereby litigants and citizens can participate in the hearings from their homes and offices.
