NEW LEXINGTON — The Village of Crooksville has asked a judge to grant it summary judgment in a resident’s lawsuit over injuries he claims he suffered after stepping into a hole at a construction site.

Rocky Chevalier, Jr., filed his lawsuit in Perry County Common Pleas Court in April 2021. In it, he claimed that two years earlier, while walking along North Buckeye Street in Crooksville, he “was injured when he got his foot caught in a hollowed out area of the street which had been left without warning or proper precaution being taken to protect members of the public from injury.”
