The Perry County Health Department is alerting all local business owners and managers that Gov. Mike DeWine has announced new requirements for retail businesses regarding compliance and enforcement of the existing mandatory mask order.
The mask order will be reissued, with businesses now having the following requirements:
• Post a sign outlining face-covering requirements at all public entrances to the store
• Ensure that customers and employees are wearing masks
Additionally, a new Retail Compliance Unit, comprised of agents led by the Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation, will inspect to ensure compliance. A first violation will result in a written warning and a second violation will result in closure of the store for up to 24 hours.
Pre-made signage is available at:
If you need assistance with printing signage, please reach out to The Perry County Health Department, which will be happy to help you.
