A New Lexington girl charged with disorderly conduct was fined court costs. She was ordered to attend counseling and was placed at ALPHA. She was placed in Out-of-Home Placement and will be placed there until services can be in place for the family.

A 17-year-old Crooksville boy charged with underage consumption was fined $50 and court costs. His driver’s license is suspended until age 18 and he must attend counseling. He must complete the Choices Program. He was placed on intensive probation and in the Youth and Family Services Program.

A 17-year-old Crooksville youth charged with drug paraphernalia was fined $150 and court costs. Their driver’s license is suspended until age and they must attend counseling. They were placed on intensive probation and in the Intensive Outpatient Program.

A 14-year-old Somerset girl charged with theft was fined $50 and court costs. She was ordered to complete the Theft Program and write a letter of apology.

A New Lexington boy charged with possession of marijuana was fined $150 and court costs. His driver’s license is suspended until age 18 and he must attend counseling. He was placed on intensive probation and in the Youth and Family Services Program.

A 16-year-old Shawnee boy charged with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle was fined court costs and restitution. He was ordered to attend counseling, write a letter of apology and complete the Choices Program. He was placed on intensive probation and at ALPHA.

Court News

The CarTeens Program was held on July 29 at The Perry County Behavioral Health Activity Center. Nineteen youth and their parents or guardians attended this program for first offenders and youth traffic violations. The CarTeens Program is a very successful program taught in conjunction with the Perry County Ohio State Extension Office, the Perry County Juvenile Court and the Ohio Highway Patrol.

Eight children services cases were heard this week by Judge Cooperrider. Two children were placed in the permanent custody of children services. Two children were placed with grandparents, three children were placed on Foster Care and one child remains in the custody of the parents with protective supervision.

All parents were ordered to complete drug and alcohol treatment, mental health counseling and they must complete parenting classes.
