Judge Luann Cooperrider
A New Lexington girl was fined court costs. Her license was suspended until she shows her grade card to Judge Cooperrider. She was ordered to attend counseling. She was placed at ALPHA and on intensive probation.
A 17-year-old Crooksville boy charged with underage consumption was fined court costs. His license is suspended until age 18 and he was ordered to complete the Choices Program. He was placed on intensive probation and in the Youth and Family Services Program.
A 15-year-old Somerset youth was fined $50, court costs and $40 restitution. The youth is now unable to obtain a divers license until all programs and costs are paid and complied with. The youth was ordered to write a letter of apology and complete the Theft Program.
A 17-year-old Thornville girl charged with speeding was fined court costs and $35. Her license is suspended for 90 days and she was ordered to complete the Remedial Driving Program.
A 14-year-old youth charged with disorderly conduct was fined court costs. The youth was ordered to complete 20 hours of community service and attend counseling. The youth was placed at ALPHA.
A 15-year-old Roseville boy charged with being unruly was fined court costs. He was ordered to complete 20 hours of community service and attend counseling. He was placed in the Family Wellness Program.
Judge Cooperrider attended the Perry County Park Board meeting virtually. The Park Board is working on maps, hike project, signage for parks and all kinds of different projects all to promote parks and recreation in Perry County.
Judge Cooperrider heard four children services cases this week. Two children were placed in the temporary custody of children services. DNA tests were ordered to determine proper paternity for one child. Parents were ordered into drug and alcohol treatment. One parent had already voluntarily committed himself to residential treatment. One child returned home on a 30-day trial basis. One child was placed in a kinship care placement. Counseling was ordered for all parents and children.
