Judge Cooperrider reports that during November the court saw one minor name change; three adoptions; one civil case to sell real estate; one disinterment; and three guardianships. Ten marriage licenses were issued, and Judge Cooperrider performed two wedding ceremonies.
November statistics, juvenile court
Judge Cooperrider reports that during November the court had 50 new cases filed, including six delinquency cases; 10 juvenile traffic cases; six unruly cases; and four permanent custody cases. Three cases of abuse, neglect, dependency were filed, and no cases of adult contributing. In the paternity-custody division, 21 cases were filed new or reactivated.

Juvenile court
• A 16-year-old boy from New Lexington was charged with disorderly conduct. He was ordered to pay court costs, perform 20 hours of community service, and attend anger management counseling, and he was placed at the ALPHA School on probation.
• A 16-year-old boy from Roseville was charged with theft. He was fined $50 plus court costs, ordered to pay $35 in restitution to the owner of the store, was entered into the restitution recovery program in which he can work off the amount; his driver’s license was suspended until all fines, costs and restitution are paid in full; he was ordered to write and send a letter of apology to the victim with a copy to the court within three days; and he was ordered to complete a theft program and pay its cost.
• A 16-year-old girl from Somerset was charged with theft. She was fined $50 plus court costs, ordered to pay $52 in restitution to Walmart; was entered into the restitution recovery program in which he can work off the amount; her driver’s license was suspended until all fines, costs and restitution are paid in full; he was ordered to write a five-page essay, due to the court within 10 days; and she was ordered to complete a theft program and pay its cost.
• A 14-year-old boy from Junction City was charged with unruliness by truancy. He was ordered to pay court costs and attend counseling at Hopewell, he was placed at the ALPHA School on probation, and he was placed in the Youth Family Services program.
• A 17-year-old girl from Mount Perry was charged with speeding, her second moving violation. She was ordered to pay court costs; her driver’s license was suspended for 90 days; she was ordered to complete a remedial driver’s program; and she must show proof of insurance within three days.
• A 16-year-old boy from Crooksville was charged with possession of marijuana. He was fined $150 plus court costs, his driver’s license was suspended for one year and he must complete family and individual drug treatment; he was ordered to complete the Choices program; and he was placed on probation.
