A 14-year-old New Lexington girl charged with domestic violence was fined court costs. She was ordered to attend counseling and family counseling with her family. She was placed on Detention, on Intensive Probation and in Out of Home Placement.

A 17-year-old New Lexington boy charged with underage consumption was fined court costs. His driver’s license is suspended until age 18. He was ordered to attend counseling and complete the Choices Program. He was placed on Intensive Probation and in the Youth and Family Services Program.

A Somerset youth charged with being unruly was fined court costs. They were ordered to attend counseling. They were placed at ALPHA and on Intensive Probation.

A 16-year-old Somerset boy charged with probation violation was fined court costs. He was ordered to complete 30 hours of Community Service and attend counseling. He was placed in detention.

A New Lexington youth charged with probation violation was fined court costs. They were placed in a residential drug and alcohol program.

A 16-year-old Somerset girl charged with theft was fined court costs. Her driver’s license is suspended until all costs are paid in full. She was ordered to attend counseling and write a letter of apology. She must complete the theft program.

A Mount Perry youth charged with being unruly was fined court costs. They were ordered to attend counseling. They were placed at ALPHA and on Intensive Probation. Family counseling was also ordered.

A 14-year-old Shawnee boy charged with disorderly conduct was fined court costs. He was ordered to complete 30 hours of Community Service and attend counseling. He was placed at ALPHA and in Intensive Probation.

A 17-year-old Thornville youth was charged with underage consumption and fined court costs. Their driver’s license is suspended until age 18. They were ordered to attend counseling and complete the Choices Program. They were placed on Intensive Probation.

A 15-year-old Crooksville boy charged with truancy, being unruly, was fined court costs. He was ordered to attend counseling. He was placed at ALPHA and on Intensive Probation. Family and individual counseling was ordered.

Court News

Judge Cooperrider held two emergency hearings this week regarding the removal of children. The removal of children was due to drugs in the home.

Judge Cooperrider participated in a statewide telephone conference of Juvenile Court judges. Judge Cooperrider is honored to be on the Board of the Ohio Association of Family and Juvenile Court Judges.

Judge Cooperrider heard eight Children Services cases this week. Five children were placed in the custody of Children Services and three children were placed with relatives. Intensive counseling was ordered for drug and alcohol addictions, mental health counseling and services for the family.
