Margaret Arlene Mitchell, 89, of Cedar Park, Texas, formerly of Junction City, Ohio passed away on Friday, Jan. 1, 2021 at Cedar Park Regional Medical Center after suffering a stroke.

Margaret was born Feb. 14, 1931 in McConnelsville, Ohio to Melvin O. Risberg and Mabel M. Henderson.

After marrying Robert Lee Mitchell in 1947, Margaret spent a lifetime volunteering, to include the Red Cross, nursing home activities & tutoring school children in reading. She travelled extensively with her husband and family, throughout the United States and abroad, due to her husband’s work. She also worked as an activities director in Ohio and Utah. She spoke of her life and travels to various organizations & groups. She was a member of the Meigs Church of Christ.

After many years of spending winters in Cedar Park, Texas with her daughter and her husband, she moved in with them in July of 2019. She is survived by daughter Anita (Jim) of Cedar Park, Texas; sons Troy (Pat) of Parma, Ohio and Jay (Angel) of Crooksville, Ohio; sisters Martha Niceswanger of Tulsa, Okla. and Mildred Harman of New Lexington, Ohio; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren

In addition to her parents, Margaret was preceded in death by her husband Robert; son Kirk & his wife Chris; son Bobby; brother Melvin and sister Marilyn.

No funeral will be held at this time. Cremation, per her wishes, took place and in the spring she will be laid to rest with her husband at Meigs Cemetery.
