Sheridan win

Sheridan took the win over New Lexington with a new scoreboard working just in time.

THORNVILLE — The Generals went to battle against New Lexington for the county rivalry and came out with the 3-1 win over the Panthers on Oct. 6.

The three goals were made for the Generals by Isaac Jarret, Michael Eckelberry and Jim Swain.

Jarrett had seven shots on the goal and Eckelberry had five.

Swain had five shots on the goal and Josiah Hamilton had one, as well as Seth Wilson.

Benton Mowrey had two shots on the goal to total up the Generals’ stat of 25 shots.

Sheridan’s starting goalie Luke Carpenter saved 13 attempts from New Lexington’s shots. Brady Bevis came in as the second string and had four saves.

Sheridan’s defense was led by Hamilton in the back field and Alex Winegardner, Hunter Frame and Brandon Harvey helped keep the Panthers to just one goal.
