Generals' gymnats place third

The General Gymansts placed third in their first meet of the season. Multiple placed, including: Brooklyn Heller, Rylee Rodich, Keegan Hogan, Addyson Boyer and Kassidy Cox. The Lady Generals continue their season this weekend in Dublin.

SOMERSET — The Lady Generals gymnastics team started off their season by placing in the top three Jan. 5 at the Wolfpack Invitational at Worthington Kilbourne.

Sheridan placed third, behind Hudson’s and Dublin Jerome’s teams.

Brooklyn Heller showed her skill this meet by placing in each event: vault, bars, beam and floor.

Heller was the only Lady General to place in the vault competition in third place, and the only Lady General to place in the bars competition in sixth place.

For the beam portion of the competition, Heller placed sixth, Rylee Rodich placed fifth, and Keegan Hogan stood high on the podium in second place.

Heller placed low at ninth in the floor competition, but Rodich gained a sixth place spot.

All around, Heller stood high on the podium in second place, while the other Lady Generals who placed were Hogan in 11th, Rodich close behind her in 12th, Addyson Boyer coming up close in 14th and Kassidy Cox placing 23rd.

The Lady Generals will compete in their second meet this Saturday when they travel to Dublin for the McGee Invitational.
