THORNVILLE — Sheridan’s middle school girls faced off with the Lady Panthers of Maysville and took the sweeping win on Nov. 29.

The seventh grade Lady Generals took the 34-22 win with Peyton Powell leading her girls with 10 points to Maysville’s leaders, Haley Cornett and Alaina Berry, with six points each.

The eighth graders took a 52-17 win over Maysville.

Jamison Stinson led her Lady Generals with 15 points, while Jenna Stewart and Grace Householder had 10 points each to Maysville’s leader with six points.

When they took on the Scotties of Tri-Valley, the Lady Generals fell in a sweep over them on Dec. 2.

Tri-Valley (3-0) defeated Sheridan’s seventh graders, 28-37, and the eighth grade team, 34-43.

For Sheridan’s seventh graders, Ava Heller and Addie Boyd scored six points each to lead their team.

Stinson, once again, led her eighth grade girls in points against Tri-Valley with 15, out-shooting Tri-Valley’s players’ 13 and 14 points.
