NEW LEXINGTON — New Lexington held a special basketball game last Tuesday, moving the game against Crooksville over to the newly renovated Linton D. Lewis gymnasium at New Lexington Middle School. The Panthers broke the gymnasium in with a 58-22 victory over the Ceramics.
New Lexington’s Isiah Stephens wasted no time, scoring the first basket in the new gym on the Panther’s first possession. Stephens would add seven more in the first as New Lex came out on fire and never looked back.
Stephen would finish with a game-high 16 points, while also picking up four rebounds and two steals. Lukas Ratliff was in a do-it -all role for the Panthers, scoring nine points, with four rebounds, three assists, one steal and one block. Malakye Thresher scored eight while snagging a team-high nine rebounds.
